Inclusive Playground Equipment Ribbon Cutting

Description

Please join the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate the new inclusive playground equipment at Pittard Park.  The new equipment includes a We-Go-Round merry-go-round that is wheelchair accessible and designed for children and families of all abilities, a Friendship Swing that is a one-size-fits-all face-to-face swing with easy access for individuals of varying abilities, and a sensory panel that is an interactive, tactile, and visual playground component designed to stimulate a child's senses while promoting cognitive development and inclusive play.  This installation was made possible by a grant from the Georgia Civitan Foundation and our local Winterville Civitan Club along with SPLOST funding from the City of Winterville.
