Description
A primary objective of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce is to help foster leadership for this community now and in the future. With this initiative, we aim to raise the profile of young leaders in the community who are helping develop a better Athens.
Join us at the 3rd Annual Gamechangers luncheon where we will recognize 10 community leaders under the age of 40. We accepted community nominations for those young people who lead by example and collaboratively seek to implement a bright vision for the community. This year's Gamechangers are:
- Bethany Nanan, Epting Events
- Brittany Lopez, Western Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office
- Colleen Craven, Books for Keeps
- Imani Carter, Western Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office / UGA
- Jay Kloepfer, Marti's at Midday
- Jeremy C. Daniel, UGA
- Lamar Handy, DL Handy Foundation
- Michelle Roberts Kelterborn, Synovus
- Tiffany Taylor, Athens-Clarke County Unified Government
- Tim DeMott, The Classic Center
This year's luncheon will be hosted by Cameron Jay Harrelson, a 2023 Gamechanger who has called Athens home for over a decade. Cameron is the host, writer, and producer of Classic City Crime Podcast and was instrumental in helping to pass Georgia's Coleman-Baker Act in 2023. He is employed with Cox Media Group in Athens as a Business Development Consultant and has previously served as both Vice President and President of Athens Pride & Queer Collective. He currently serves as a member of Athens-Clarke County's Human Relations Commission and was the Chair of the commission in 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his partner, Kyle and his two cats, Mildred and Judith.
