Classic Center Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Ribbon Cutting

 Join us at The Classic Center for a ribbon cutting event for our new electric vehicle stations on October 27! Drop in any time between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Local electric car dealers will be present with the latest electric vehicle models like the Tesla Model Y and Tesla Model 3 for your viewing pleasure. Ask questions, see the latest in electric car technology, and enjoy refreshments. This event will be outdoors in the horseshoe parking lot in front of The Classic Center Theatre.

The Classic Center has partnered with EnviroSpark to install two standard charging stations and one fast charger in the horseshoe lot in front of the building on North Thomas Street and two chargers on level two of The Classic Center parking deck. With over 5,000 station installations in 35 states and four Canadian provinces, EnviroSpark is an expert in electric car charging technology.

Paul Cramer, President and CEO of The Classic Center, said, "Bringing sustainable energy sources into the heart of downtown Athens is an important initiative to us. We want to make this resource easily accessible to the public and are excited to be partnering with EnviroSpark." Adding electric charging stations is the newest component of The Classic Center's green initiatives, which include the Atrium being LEED silver certified, solar panels, a water conservation project that reduced water usage by 1.1 million gallons a year, and more!
