He also oversees Piedmont's eastern clinical hub of services\, which includes Piedmont Athens Regional\, Piedmont Walton\, Piedmont Newton\, and Piedmont Rockdale hospitals.\n\n\n\nDr. Montez Carter\, President & CEO\, St. Mary's Healthcare System\n\nMontez was named President and CEO of St. Mary's Health Care System on Jan. 1\, 2018. He joined St. Mary?s in November 2010 as the system?s Vice President of Operations. When St. Mary?s acquired a critical access hospital in Greensboro\, Ga.\, he was appointed interim President and in November 2012 was named President of St. Mary?s Good Samaritan Hospital. In March 2017\, Carter was promoted to President of St. Mary's Hospital\, and briefly served as interim President and CEO of St. Mary's Health Care System before being named permanently to the position. In addition\, Carter was named Chair of the Georgia Hospital Association in November\, 2017.
